I’ve just been thinking a lot about the power of our thoughts and the energy that exists within them. Not only the importance of self-talk, nor the category of Thoughts within this website, but the power that exists in the idea of a fleeting daydream, the pinging sensation of pity in your belly, the ache in your heart when thinking about your last goodbye, the warm fuzzies as you think about a sunshiney day with a loved one, the smile that comes to your lips when a hilarious memory comes to mind?

I just feel like a lot of those thoughts have meaning to them that we never assign. Lately, if I think of someone I know is struggling, or someone that I am grateful for, or someone that I heard the clerks at the gas station discussing, any time I have an emotional response to a thought, I immediately send love to that person. Random people are receiving my love every damn day from all parts across the US… You’re telling me that’s just normal? That those thoughts aren’t radiating over to them, the energy soaring, surging into the wind? You think they can’t feel that love? Or that the Universe doesn’t just beg for us to share those thoughts to be delivered? Bullshit, I think the Universe loves it and you know it! Maybe our souls are kept intact from the thoughts that swirl around others’ brains when they think of us.

And I’ve learned that the best part about being intentional with sending my thoughts across the globe is that it requires virtually no effort!! I don’t have to text anyone or call them or buy them a gift. It can just be a 5-second kiss transported by dandelion seeds across the prairies. And then they don’t have to text you back either! Maybe the sunlight hit them just so warmly for a second because of your love from across the clouds. Maybe they had an excellent hair day or dinner tasted just a bit more delicious for them or the hug from their son was just a little sweeter. Maybe they actually thought of you in return and so you got some love! I think lives are subconsciously touched by our love and our thoughts.

I mean all of this lightly… I hope the ambition behind your death wish is not stronger now you may begin to think this way. I hope this doesn’t assign extra power to your negative thoughts to dim good realities. But also… Would you treat your thoughts a little differently if you were conscious of their energy and power? And also… Even if thoughts have energy, your mom still needs you to actually call her sometimes!!!

You can send thoughts and the feeling of happiness to anyone in the world at any point at no cost to you. I believe those vibrations, that love, is felt, even if it’s subconsciously.
